The Swashakti Women Empowerment cell was incepted in the 2007 to unite all the women employees of all the colleges of the KLE society under one umbrella. All the women employees of various KLE institutes are the members of the cell. The cell constitutes of one president, one chief co-coordinator, two secretaries and an executive committee with 19 members. The Cell is committed to enhance the well being of the women folk. Various activities are conducted to nurture their skill and help them uplift themselves. It provides the much required support to the women in distress. The various activities conducted by the cell are classified into long term projects and community activities. Wet waste management, Health check-up camps, Skill enhancement workshops, Awareness workshops on gender bias and workplace harassment are few of the many activities conducted by the cell. For recreation and rewind the cell organises deepotsav, picnics and women’s day celebrations. Annual General Body (AGM) meeting is conducted in the month of September, to submit the financial audit report and also activity report of the year.
