The students of Computer Science & Engineering won the first prize in the recently conducted Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2019) competition organized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and Ministry of HRD, Govt of India.
Smart India Hackathon 2019 was a nationwide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem solving.
In SIH 2019, the students got an opportunity to work on challenges faced within the private sector organizations and create world class solutions for some of the top companies in the world, thus helping the Private sector hire the best minds from across the nation.
The students presented their project titled, Startup Ecosystem tracker at Indian Institute of Technology-IIT, Kanpur and won the event. Mr. Akhil, Mr. Aftab, Miss. Pooja, Miss Pramila, Miss Mahalaxmi, Miss Basamma under the mentorship and guidance of Prof. Uttam Patil, Prof. Vidya H. & Prof. Shashidhar H. Achieved this feat. The students were awarded a Cash prize of Rs 75000/-.
