An Alumni Meet was conducted by Department of MBA, KLE Dr. M.S. Sheshgiri College of Engineering & Technology Belagavi on 28th Jan, 2017. Dr. D G. Kulkarni – Head of the department of KLEMBA welcomed the chief guest of the function Col. Ramesh Timmapur, Indian Army, New Delhi and the alumni of KLEMBA.

Prof Vaibhav Badgi, Alumni Coordinator, addressed the gathering regarding formation of an Alumni Association and the benefits that could be derived from such an association in different fields of life.

On this occasion Alumni Chapter was formed with Col. Ramesh Timmapur being elected as the Chairman. The Alumini association Logo was also unveiled and the Batten was handed over to Col. Timmapur by Principal Dr. Basavaraj Katageri.

Col. Ramesh Timmapur addressed that gathering on the roles that an Alumni has to play towards his/her institution. He further said “what alumni do with their lives define the stature of an Institute and the more the Institute grows in stature the better it is for the alumni.” He also encouraged the alumni to actively participate in the development of the institute so as to facilitate better placement opportunities. He expressed that the new trend in placement and job opportunities is based on networking skills; this is possible only if there is close coordination between the Alumni and the institute.

Dr. Basavaraj Katageri – Principal, KLE Dr. M.S. Sheshgiri College of Engineering & Technology Belagavi and President of the function, encouraged the alumni to contribute actively for the mutual development of both the entitiesHe further congratulated the department of MBA for initiating a good move to organize such an event that will benefit the student community.
