KLE Society’s Dr. M. S. Sheshgiri College of Engineering and Technology’s Department of Biomedical Engineering in association with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a one-day workshop on “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with Python” on 02-03-2020. About 180 students from Biomedical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering attended the workshop. The key resource person for the workshop Mrs. Chetana Sarang Kulkarni, alumni of the Biomedical Engineering department and Chief Executive Officer of Jigyasa Infonautics, Belagavi, speaking on the occasion of inauguration of the workshop said, technological growth has led to the integration of technologies. Mrs. Kulkarni said Machine learning is helping to streamline the administrative processes in hospitals, diagnose & treat infectious diseases and personalize medical treatments. She also stated Artificial Intelligence has changed the scenario of the healthcare system in improving efficiency while reducing the cost of care. She also highlighted the applications of machine learning tools in the Biomedical Engineering domain.
